Additionally, front airbags deploy depending on how hard of a hit you’re involved in; adaptive ones also adjust their deployment force based on your height and weight. Also included are side curtain airbags that deploy if you’re involved in a side-impact collision.

These can help protect your head by preventing debris from flying into it as well as keeping out any harmful gases that might seep into your vehicle’s cabin during an accident, both of which could cause injury or even death.

Interior & Exterior Color Options

Drivetrain Options

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz C300 offers a choice of two engines for your convenience. The base car is powered by a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder that puts out 202 horsepower and 186-pound feet of torque.

It can be paired with either a 7-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission depending on your preference. In addition to being powerful, it is also surprisingly fuel-efficient – especially when you consider its class.

When paired with an automatic transmission, expect fuel economy is around 28 mpg city and 37 mpg highway (25/34 with a manual).

If you need more power there’s also an optional 3 liter 6 cylinder engine underhood that puts out 302 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque to back up those impressive numbers.

Powertrain Options

The base 2021 Mercedes-Benz C300 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0L inline 4 cylinder engine that produces 241 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a 7-speed automatic transmission with sport mode and paddle shifters.

Mercedes Benz C300 2021 comes with rear-wheel drive as standard but offers optional all-wheel drive as well in addition to AWD sport.

The 2020 model year will be built with a new 9-speed automatic transmission however it’s unclear if it will be offered on lower-trim levels or not until more information becomes available.

Price Range

At $44,000 before taxes, our test car came in at about $895 above its base price. It’s not a bargain by any means but isn’t completely out of line for its class.

For example, a comparable BMW 328i is around $400 more expensive with either front- or all-wheel drive; Audi’s A4 starts at $50,100 but has a turbocharged engine that can be had in two trims for less than our car.

The average transaction price of a new vehicle is well over $35K, which makes our tester one of many options available that are both decently priced and feature optional extra features that allow buyers to make them their own.
