The 2021 Jeep Gladiator could have been built on a chassis designed for crazy off-road riding, and it’s certainly a look that justifies the American name, including a removable door and headrest.

We witnessed the Australian launch of the redesigned Jeep Grand Cherokee, where we drove the newest member of the SRT Hi-Po superhero family, the robust Trailhawk SUV.
The Jeep Gladiator is said to be the most complicated car in the middle class. From certain angles, it tolerates its size very well.
The car is 5,533 mm long, has a very long wheelbase (348 mm) and 1755 mm wide, and the height depends on whether the roof is installed and whether or not Rubicon.

The SRT will still be good off-road, but its 1-degree, 22, and 1 exit angles make it more suitable for less demanding dirt and unpaved roads.

Engine performance and transmission
When the Jeep Gladiator launched in Australia, there had to be a choice between two options.

All diesel engines are 3.0 liter V6 turbodiesel with 144 kW / 57,070 Nm taken from the previous model.
The SRT is something special: under the hood is a naturally aspirated 4.4 liter Hemi V8 engine with 344 kW / 2424 Nm. Jeep has left this model intact compared to the previous model.
All classes are changed using ZF’s ultra-smooth eight-speed automatic transmission.
