Entering the cockpit of the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee gives a feeling of robustness or luxury, depending on the model.
The sleek panel houses an infotainment touchscreen with redundant buttons and controls, and a 7.0-inch LCD screen on the dashboard is flanked by analog displays.
Designers use soft-touch materials and leather where it counts – the armrests, the upper door panels, the dashboard – but the hard plastic sticks elsewhere.
Behind the second row of seats, the Grand Cherokee can accommodate 11 carry-on bags. This number rises to 24 when the rear seats are folded down, which divides into 60/40.
The controls are also neat and tidy, with a single movement of the hand the headrest can be released and the seat extended.
The Jeep’s excellent Uconnect infotainment system is one of our favorites for its ease of use and fast response times.
A 5.0-inch Dinky screen is standard; we recommend upgrading to the large 8.4-inch touchscreen. Rear-seat entertainment and in-car Wi-Fi make the Grand Cherokee a cinema on wheels.
A six-speaker audio system is standard, along with SiriusXM Satellite Radio. A number of more advanced configurations, including a six-speaker Boston Acoustics stereo, a nine-speaker Alpine system, and a 19-speaker Harman / Kardon configuration, are available in select styles.

Viewed from the front, the Jeep Grand Cherokee uses headlights already equipped with HID technology. The attractive design of the daytime running lights (DRL) is also integrated into the main lighting.
The box-shaped grille design, which extends downward, is elegant, but also emphasizes the solid body. The fog lights are hidden under the headlights.
The front bumper also has honeycomb-shaped ventilation holes and is decorated with chrome stripes all around.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee also looks rugged from the side, as the shorter ground clearance is quite large. Its impression of robustness is also underlined by light-alloy rims with a diameter of 20 inches.
The chrome surface on the side of the window also adds to the elegance. At the back of the Jeep Grand Cherokee is a very large tail light.
However, the lights look futuristic. Again, there are chrome accents on the body spoiler, bumper kit, and exhaust.
While other manufacturers use body-on-frame construction, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is a different story. This SUV has always used a unibody chassis. This car was built with the FCA Giorgio platform.
