Michael Schumacher, former Formula One champion, is selling his Ferrari Testarossa. The sports car was first released in 1984 and has a starting price of around $400,000.
While he is no longer an active driver on top of racing circuits, his Ferraris still remain some of the most iconic cars in his collection.
The Testarossa’s design is inspired by fighter jets and is capable of going from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4 seconds or less. It’s painted red with a black top and has tan leather seats.
The front windshield extends out past the engine hood and can be lowered when parked so that it almost looks like a convertible while driving down roads.
Ferrari F40 LM
One of Michael Schumacher’s favorite cars, a Ferrari F40 LM, sold for $2.7 million in June 2016 at an RM Sotheby’s auction in Monaco.
The car is one of only two built and was previously owned by Sherwood Securities and investment manager Jim Glickenhaus.
Ferrari F40 LM models are very rare because they were never produced for sale, they were built to be driven by racing teams as a showcase for new technology.
This model was an evolution of Ferrari’s 288 GTO Le Man’s racer, which Schumacher raced with great success in 1987 and 1988.
He won his first three World Championships while driving one of these vehicles in Formula One races.
Ferrari 599 GTO
The Ferrari 599 GTO was inspired by Ferrari’s 250 GTO from 1962, which Michael Schumacher drove to victory in Le Mans.
The 599 GTO is based on a modified chassis of its Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano grand tourer counterpart and is powered by a 6.0 liter, 660 hp (492 kW) front-mid mounted V12 engine that was developed for Formula One use.
It has a 7-speed Getrag dual-clutch transmission and carbon-ceramic brakes like those found on the Enzo and Scuderia F1 cars.
Mercedes AMG SLR
Michael Schumacher’s collection of Mercedes cars, including a customized SLR McLaren and his 300SLR racing car, is worth an estimated $28 million.
The most valuable piece? A one-of-a-kind Mercedes AMG SLR 722 Edition 1 that was specially made for him in 2007 and is worth approximately $8 million.
Altogether, these toys make up a sizable chunk of Michael Schumacher’s net worth, which he accumulated largely thanks to his Formula One racing career.

Porsche 918 Spyder
You’ll be happy to know that Michael Schumacher has a $1.5 million dollar Porsche 918 Spyder in his collection.
It’s one of only nine made and features innovative technology developed with the help of students from Germany’s Leibniz University.
The car can go from 0 to 60 mph in less than three seconds, but it also uses kinetic energy recovery to recharge its batteries while braking.
With a top speed of 215 mph, it is certainly a fast car, but by no means as expensive as some of his other vehicles.
For example, he also owns a Ferrari Enzo which was built for race enthusiasts and sold for just under $1 million USD when new.
