Z4 is pretty much the same as it was last year, but the ambient lighting is no longer standard and wireless charging of phones is no longer possible. The driver assistance package has been removed from the comfort and premium plans and is now an independent option package.

There’s also more room inside than you’d expect, even for those taller than six feet. Thick and insulated, the fabric roof is tightly covered. Top-down, the BMW interior is so quiet, with less wind and driving noise, that it almost feels like a Grand Touring Coupé. With the push of a button, it can be folded in a few seconds.

Wind deflectors are standard to reduce wind gusts to a minimum, even at high speeds from top to bottom. The storage space on the inside is also quite spacious. There are several shelves around the Z4’s cab, including one on the center console and a padded shelf to the left of the steering wheel.
