2021 Audi S8 Reviews: Engine, Interior and Specs – Men car pics

The Audi S8 comes from a complete redesign for the 2020 model year, so there are some changes for 2021.

The new standard equipment includes 21-inch wheels, summer tires, and heated armrests for the front passenger. The black optics package has a new 21-inch wheel design.

For the speed freak with a penchant for comfort and luxury, there are a few flagship sedans that do as well as the Audi S8 2021.

With a twin-turbo V8 trudging quietly under the hood, the S8 can easily get you and three others blown up at high speeds.

And when it gets windy, the massive four-door Audi can devour the pavement in a flash. Based on the softer luxury sedan A8, the S8 gets a performance suspension, improved brakes, and a more powerful drivetrain, but its exterior design hardly whispers “high performance” – making it a stealth bomber for the autobahn.

In the interior, the S8 offers as much space and comfort as its competitors such as the BMW 4 Series and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, including front and rear massage seats, state-of-the-art infotainment features, high-quality materials, and a perfect fit and that’s it.

Despite this mild hybrid system, the S8 is still a very thirsty car with horrific mileage. Official EPA estimates say the S8 will return 13/22/16 mpg on a city/highway/combo cycle.

As a result, it comes with a fairly large gas tank, but even so, the 21.7-gallon tank will only return an average of about 347 miles on mixed driving.

Engine and Performance

The Audi S8 presents outstanding performance and design that stand out with design elements such as an exterior mirror housing and a trim strip on the underside in an aluminum-look, a special S-model bumper, and two twin tailpipes.

Only one configuration is offered for the S8, but it’s a good one. Under the hood is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine along with a 48-volt mild-hybrid electric system that delivers a total of 563 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque.

Despite its enormous weight, the S8 will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds, according to Audi, although real-world tests show that it is actually faster and can sprint in around three and a half seconds.

The top speed is electronically limited to 255 mph, but this luxury sedan is about more than just acceleration. Thanks to the sports rear axle differential of the Quattro all-wheel drive, the S8 copes really well with it.

The standard all-wheel steering also contributes to this, while the eight-speed automatic makes it easy to keep both hands on the wheel and fully exploit the sportiness of this excellent car.

If you’re in the six-digit range, expect a great interior from the car you buy. If the car is an Audi s8, you already know it will look great and will be built to the highest standards.

The combination of appearance and high-quality materials covers almost every cabin. If you see it very clearly, the interior becomes even more impressive.

The fully digital driver information display is supplemented by another pair of screens for air conditioning and the standard four-zone automatic air conditioning.

A Bang & Olufsen sound system is also included, but small details like the immaculate leather-covered dashboard give this cabin a special feel.
