2023 Audi Q5 Reviews: Price, Specs, and More

2023 audi q5 reviews

2023 Audi Q5 Reviews – The new 2023 Audi Q5 is a fantastic option compared to competing small luxury crossover SUVs like the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC.

It has a sophisticated interior and modern exterior design, as well as a variety of customizable options.

Other luxury SUVs provide comparable technology and flashier design, so the Q5 is guaranteed to please drivers who don’t mind uninteresting handling.

One of the trio of powertrain options available is the 201- horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder, which comes standard with Quattro all-wheel drive.

In addition to a 362-hp four-cylinder model, the two plug-in hybrid models offer quicker acceleration and are available.

The Audi Q5, on the other hand, seems to be targeted at technophiles rather than passionate drivers. It has a lot of digital-friendly features and driver assists.

If you prefer something zestier than the ordinary automobile, the SQ5 (reviewed independently) is a vehicle you may like.

Otherwise, both the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and the Porsche Macan, which have a higher starting price than the Q5, offer more driver involvement.

What’s new for the 2023 Audi Q5?

2023 audi q5

Next year’s Audi Q5 and Q5 Sportback models are still available, without any significant changes. Audi, on the other hand, has updated the core equipment package across the whole Q5 trim range.

The Premium Plus trim level now includes an upgraded sound system, while adaptive cruise control is now standard. 2023 Audi Q5 redesign OLED taillights as part of the Prestige trim level’s Sport plus package.

New color options are also available in addition to the ones listed above. Chronos gray replaces Quantum gray on Q5 45, Q5 55, and SQ5 automobiles.

How much does the 2023 Audi Q5 cost?

The new Audi Q5 and Q5 Sportback compact luxury crossover SUVs have seen a modest price increase. The additional cost is insignificant when compared to inflation.

The Audi Q5 luxury crossover SUV base model costs $43,500, while the Sportback version costs $50,300. The 2022 Audi Q5, with a starting price of $43,200 MSRP, will cost a little more than the 2023 Q5.

Engine, and Performance Specs

The Audi Q5 2023 will come with a 201-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder, a seven-speed automatic gearbox, and Quattro all-wheel drive.

Stepping up to the 45 model boosts horsepower to 261. When driving around town or on the highway, the Audi Q5’s turbo four provides plenty of power, it is smooth, quiet, and mellifluous. The Q5 reached 60 mph in 5.5 seconds on our test track.

With a combined 362 horsepower and 369 pound-foot of torque, the 2023 Audi Q5 plug-in hybrid version outperformed the performance-oriented Audi Q5 Sportback by 0.3 seconds in our test, achieving a 4.5-second sprint to 60 mph.

Regardless of road or driving conditions, the high-end compact crossover’s suspension is well-damped and provides a secure sensation.

Even over pockmarked asphalt, the ride is smooth and controlled, with or without the optional adaptive suspension.

The front wheels provide no discernible feedback, and the steering is accurate but lightly weighted. The steering feels heavier, but not natural, in the Dynamic drive mode.

A Porsche Macan will show you a much better time than the Q5, which is capable of handling it reasonably well on a twisty two-lane.

Performance and Fuel Economy

Audi’s Quattro AWD system is standard on every Q5. As indicated by the 40 TFSI emblem, a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder generates 201 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque.

It’s joined to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. According to estimates, Audi is expected to achieve a 0-60 mph time of 6.8 seconds and a city/highway fuel economy rating of 23/29 mpg.

The 45 TFSI logo is available on vehicles with a 12-volt mild hybrid system and a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder.

It has a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox that delivers 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque.

According to our testing, it takes 5.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph. In 2023, the Q5 45 TFSI is expected to achieve a fuel economy of 23/29 mpg, similar to the previous year’s model.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

Even on the base Premium model, the Audi Q5 offers enough space for four people to sit comfortably and comes standard with a number of premium features.

At high speeds, the cabin is quiet, and it’s simple to enter and exit. Audi’s sleek Virtual Cockpit digital gauge cluster is one of the luxury functions that can be found up through the three trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige.

When it came to how many of our carry-on luggage boxes fit, the Audi Q5 didn’t impress. It outsold the smaller Macan by just a few percentage points when the rear seats were folded.

Audi Q5 seatbacks fold easily and quickly, allowing for a 40/20/40 configuration, however, Q5 has more versatility than the Lexus RX.

Warranty

Compared to other luxury SUVs, Audi’s warranty coverage for the Q5 is fair enough. A free maintenance package is also included with competitors such as the BMW X3 and Volvo XC60.

  • A limited warranty covers four years or 50,000 miles.
  • The powertrain warranty covers four years or 50,000 miles.
