What’s New for the 2019 Mazda 6?
For the third time in five model years, the Mazda 6 receives a facelift. The most obvious enhancements include a new exterior design, upgraded interiors, and an extra engine option.
The Mazda 6 new turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder, which sits above the non-turbo 2.5-liter four, features cylinder deactivation and a modest increase in horsepower and torque.
Mazda went even further by retuning the chassis and decreasing interior noise levels, despite these improvements being significant.

The 2019 Mazda 6 provides more than typical driving fun for a family car with fluidity to its controls and handling that is uncommon at any price point.
Mazda manages to provide the thrills while preserving refinement and ride quality. In this league, it’s still the most comfortable car to drive. Do not assume that because I am female, I am weak.
How good is the fuel economy? Both of the Mazda 6’s four-cylinder engines have EPA ratings that are competitive.
The turbo version managed 36 mpg during our actual-world highway fuel consumption test, 5 mpg better than its EPA claimed, which is even more astounding.
The Mazda 6, which has the lowest engine we’ve tested to date, managed 37 mpg, 2 mpg better than its EPA highway rating.
Interior, and Comfort

Our only complaint is that the Mazda 6 is no less practical than other mid-size vehicles, with the six carry-on bags we can fit in the trunk and the 17 carry-on bags we can fit in the trunk and interior with the rear seats folded to position it at the forefront of its class.
One must first walk around to the trunk, open it, and pull the release handles for the seatbacks located there before one can fold the rear seats from within the vehicle.
However, once they’re folded, one must again walk back to the rear doors and push them flat.

Infotainment and Connectivity
The Mazda 6 2019 offers a slew of technological features. Mazda’s driver-assist features are standard on all 2019 models.
The infotainment system, voice control, and various features (map navigation and head-up display) all work properly on the top trims.
Audio & navigation 7.0: Mazda’s hard-drive-based navigation system, which includes voice control and a steering wheel controller.
Works well with nonintuitive features like menu-based zooming and panning when in map mode. The Bose audio system delivers high-fidelity sound but favors low and midrange frequencies.
